“Luxury” Totally impressed with the luxury of this apartment. Upon my arrival at the designated secure parking to the access to the apartment through well maintained communal areas things promised to be of a high standard. The apartment did not disappoint. The furniture, fixtures and fittings are impressive. The bedrooms and bathroom areas are of a similarly high standard. The location is just a short walk to Whitby center although the return is slightly uphill but the apartment is well worth a 5 star rating.

“Perfect for a break in Whitby” Have just returned from our second visit to this wonderful place. We love Whitby and this bungalow is the best we have stayed in. The owner replies to all enquiries really quickly, its right in the centre of town with parking included saving the hassle of trying to park your car in the busy town centre. The house has everything you would need for a holiday including dishwasher and washing machine. The back garden is nicely maintained and a sun trap. We will be back again.

“Best house we've rented in 10 years” This really is a great house. Lovely rooms throughout, well decorated and furnished, with everything you need for a weekend escape. In a great spot on the north side of Whitby harbour on a quiet street, just a gentle stroll into Whitby or to the beach. Highly recommended.

“Spacious, stylish and well equipped accommodation in lovely part of the country.” We rented Ford Cottage for our Book Club Weekend ~ 7 ladies in all. The cottage was superb, plenty of space, very stylish decor and well equipped. We enjoyed sitting in the garden area, relaxing over our meals in the dining room (including having a meal delivered from the Pub) playing games in the large lounge and all the bedroom / bathrooms were excellent. We would highly recommend this property.

Tower rental in Yorkshire

Central York tower

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 3 bathrooms
  • sleeps 6

“Unique riverside holiday experience” An amazing building which was presented extremely well on arrival blending fascinating character with modern facilities in a convenient position only a few yards from the city centre. We especially like the superb roof terrace with glazed surround which provides panoramic views across the River Ouse and round to the Minsterl. It is a long climb up to the roof but we took every opportunity to take breakfast lunch and dinner up to the deck dining table and enjoyed stunning sunset views. For anyone not wishing to take the stairs to the roof, this property also uas a lovely garden in the middle of York! Lendal Tower is in the heart of York and therefore you cannot expect a quiet experience but being part of the city for a short time was our aim and hearing the bustle and nightlife around us was our expectation. The Tower itself is full of character and provides luxurious accommodation with a feeling of tremendous space and history. Above all it was great to walk around York whenever we wished yet within a few minutes be able to open the door back into a secure and sumptuous world of our own. One of the greatest assets is the use of a garage on the opposite side of the footpath to the entrance to the tower. Parking is quite expensive in York but the car went straight in the garage on arrival and didn't come out until we left - a huge bonus. For anyone wanting a special holiday in the bustling centre of this well known city we would highly recommend a stay.

“Excellent holiday cottage.” Really amazing holiday cottage, the owners seemed to have thought of everything to make you as comfortable as they could. There was a wonderful welcome basket with wine, coffee, tea, and all sorts of goodies. The cottage was modern, well equipped and comfortable. The garden went down to the river with a beautiful summer house to relax in. Can't recommend this more highly..

About Yorkshire

Yorkshire, England's largest county, comprises four main areas; the City of York, North Yorkshire, West Riding and East Riding. The largest area is North Yorkshire, covering nearly 3,500 square miles. Yorkshire's landscape is picturesque and varied, including three national parks. The county is very welcoming with the local's Yorkshire wit, friendliness and humor a reason to visit in itself. It is home to vast swathes of unspoilt countryside, littered only with picturesque villages and genteel towns. For vibrant and lively areas, head to Leeds or Sheffield. Yorkshire also represents history - every facet of the British experience is represented here, from Roman times, to the Celtic tribes, to the War of the Roses, to the 20th century.

Things to do in Yorkshire

Yorkshire has endless attractions and activities for a short or an extended stay. First and foremost, driving through the hills and dales of the countryside is an activity unto itself - stopping for a picnic or taking pictures help to commit long lasting memories. From the Moors to the Dales, to east, south or west the Yorkshire area ‘wows' with its beauty. A hike, bicycle ride, a swim in a lake or river, or a day of sports is more than enough for a fun-filled week.

The cities and towns of Yorkshire offer plenty to see and do as well. Millions of visitors to the National Railway Museum in York have experienced the majesty and history of this form of transportation. The National Cole Mining Museum in Overton, a staple of British economy in the Industrial Revolution, is also a must-see. In Huby, watch falcons and hawks soar at the York Bird of Prey Centre. Stroll through the peaceful Royal Water Garden in Ripon or see the amazing planes at the Vulcan Experience in Doncaster. York especially has architecture, museums, man-made masterpieces and plenty of history to see.

Beautiful stay.

Don’t judge a book by its cover…the block where the apartment is situated is very old and grand but in need of a good ‘spruce’ up. However, once you turn the key to the apartment we were amazed! Clean, spacious, modern and airy with no fuss. There were clearly considered choices when decorating the apartment and it all works lovely. Unfortunately there was scaffolding outside so we couldn’t really use the balcony but still got to take in the fantastic views. The beds were lovely and comfortable and all the furniture helped us relax into our mini break. I could go on and on but in short, we would definitely book again and hopefully will.see more

Fantastic Stay! Highly Recommend.

We have stayed twice at Greystones. It’s a fantastic, spacious house and feels like home from home. The location is fantastic with tea rooms, pubs and shops within a few minutes walk. There are lovely walks and we walked to Sandsend and visited a lovely restaurant called Fish Cottage. The house is very clean and has everything you need for a greats stay. The bedrooms are lovely and spacious and there’s plenty of space for you all to relax. I couldn’t recommend this house more, it’s lovely. Claire is a fantastic host and on hand for anything you need.
